Partly. The FCC National Broadband Map (December 31, 2025) shows Optimum at 32.7% of New York City's residential units, mainly in the Bronx and parts of Brooklyn, while Spectrum covers 65.2%. Optimum is stronger on Long Island and in northern New Jersey.
Which ASN is Suddenlink?
AS19108, which RIPEstat now lists as 'SUDDENLINK-COMMUNICATIONS - Optimum'. Suddenlink was folded into the Optimum brand, but the network kept its ASN.
Did the Altice USA name change affect proxies?
No. The company became Optimum Communications on November 7, 2025, but the ASNs stayed the same. Some geolocation databases still label these IPs 'Altice' or 'Cablevision'.
