Where does Verizon serve homes?

Fios grew up in Verizon's Northeast and Mid-Atlantic telephone region: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Washington, D.C. With Frontier, Verizon reported about 30 million fiber passings in 31 states and D.C.

Among the 45 large US cities on this site, the FCC National Broadband Map (data as of December 31, 2025) lists Verizon in 9: Philadelphia (95.3% of residential units), Pittsburgh (94% of residential units), Providence (93.7% of residential units) and more below.

How do I target Verizon in the proxy username?

Add asn-701 to your username. The full format is USERNAME-country-{cc}-state-{state}-city-{city}-zip-{zip}-asn-{asn}-session-{id}-ttl-{minutes}; every segment except the country is optional.

  • USERNAME-country-us-asn-701: any Verizon IP in the United States.
  • USERNAME-country-us-state-pa-asn-701: Verizon in one state.
  • USERNAME-country-us-state-pa-city-philadelphia-asn-701: Verizon in Philadelphia.
  • USERNAME-country-us-state-pa-city-philadelphia-asn-701-session-verizon1-ttl-15: the same Philadelphia IP kept for up to 15 minutes.

Connect to gw.broadbandproxies.com on port 7777 (HTTP and HTTPS) or 7778 (SOCKS5). Each extra filter shrinks the set of matching home IPs: if a request finds none, drop the ZIP or city first and keep asn-701. Check what you got with our exit IP ASN guide.

What do Verizon IPs look like to websites?

Fios home IPs are announced by AS701, an ASN registered as 'UUNET - Verizon Business' because it began as the UUNET backbone that Verizon inherited. That name does not mean the IP is a business line: Fios residential ranges sit under it too. Verizon's 5G Home and LTE Home service is different and runs on Verizon's wireless ASNs; see Verizon 5G Home.

What changed at Verizon in 2025 and 2026?

  • Verizon completed its acquisition of Frontier on January 20, 2026; Frontier's AS5650 still announces Frontier ranges (see Frontier).
  • Verizon also completed the acquisition of Starry, a fixed wireless provider for apartment buildings, on January 30, 2026 (see Starry).

What can I check with Verizon IPs?

Fios IPs are the natural choice to check what Northeast fiber households see: New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia offers, local ads, and site performance on a fiber network with high upload speeds. More examples are in our use cases; the rules are in the acceptable use policy.

Verizon residential proxies: FAQ

Why is Verizon Fios listed as 'UUNET - Verizon Business'?

AS701 is a historic ASN: UUNET was an early internet backbone that came to Verizon through MCI/WorldCom. RIPEstat still shows the holder as 'UUNET - Verizon Business', but the ASN announces Fios residential ranges as well as business ones. Target asn-701 with a Fios city to stay in the Fios footprint.

Which cities have the most Verizon coverage?

In the FCC National Broadband Map (December 31, 2025 data), Verizon reaches 95.3% of residential units in Philadelphia, 94.0% in Pittsburgh, 93.7% in Providence, 92.6% in New York and 91.7% in Boston. The FCC counts all Verizon technologies, including 5G Home, so Fios fiber alone is lower in some cities.

Is a 'Verizon Fios proxy' the same as a Verizon mobile proxy?

No. Fios is home fiber on AS701. Verizon's mobile network uses other ASNs (AS6167 and AS22394, Cellco Partnership). Broadband Proxies residential plans target home networks; carrier IPs come with a dedicated 4G/5G port.

How much does a Verizon residential proxy cost?

The same as any other US network: Verizon targeting is included at no extra cost. As of October 2026, Broadband Proxies charges $2.63 for 1 GB, $5.94 for 10 GB, $50 for 100 GB and $500 for 1 TB ($0.50/GB). Pay from a $25 crypto top-up; unused traffic never expires.
